The Antequera Golf course is a spectacular 18 hole golf course, surrounded by a beautiful natural park: El Torcal. These are mountains which were under the sea water millions of years ago. Our modern facilities offer a professional shop, practice area with illuminated driving range, putting greens, chipping zones, bar, cafeteria, restaurant, conference room and functional rooms up to 500 people and dressing rooms for ladies and gentlemen. The hotel facilities include our own football pitch for national and international pre-season fitness preparation.

    The length of the course is over 6,562 yd (6,000 m) and its olive and acorn trees and natural herb plants add the special character of real inland Andalusia. The players will find a demanding golf course which presents them with a variety of interesting golf shots with different options to play every hole according to their level of golf.

    Both sets of 9 holes have the same level of difficulty, each being composed by 2 par 5 and 2 par 3, one long and one short. 5 par 4: one of the par them is reachable from the tee with a long exceptional shot, one long par for that should be reachable with the second shot for single figure handicappers. The hazards have been designed to assist the player’s game instead of penalising it.

There will also be a Practice Ground. The area is made up of 24 positions for individual use and a “green” section, so that the impact of the shot is as real as on the golf course. Two practice greens exclusively for putting and also fitted with a bunker to make shots at different angles of the flag are also available. The practice ground has a par three exclusively for short play and approach shots.

The Organising Committee has all the material and equipment required for the staging of the Golf Championship according to the standards set by the FISU and the technical regulations, and it counts on the collaboration of the Andalusian Golf Federation and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.
