MÁLAGA

Málaga is situated in a wonderful natural place. The area of its municipality almost reaches 154 mi2 (400 km2). Málaga is also a big city with a population of almost a million of inhabitants in its metropolitan area.

The Mediterranean Sea borders on its coast and the Mountains of Málaga surround the city, at the same time as they protect it from the cold. The mild weather is a characteristic of the city since the sea regulates the temperatures. Furthermore, the Mountains of Málaga were declared Natural Park in 1989.

You can go for a walk in the streets of Málaga, which will allow you to tour all over the city while reminding its history since the Romans´ time until nowadays, that is, three thousand of years old in total. Some of the main museums and monuments are the Roman Theater, the Alcazaba (an Arabic fortress), the Cathedral, Plaza del Obispo or the Geneva fountain. But do not forget to pass through the Monument of the Marquis Larios, which heads and names the main street finishing in Plaza de la Constitución. In order to finish your walk, do not forget to visit the Gibralfaro Castle, where you will take a sightseeing tour of the city.
