ABOUT US
The University of Málaga is a public institution which provides its services in an environment marked by touristic, technological and cultural activity. It was founded in 1972, through the initiative of a popular movement which resulted in the creation of the citizens´ platform “Friends of the University of Málaga”.
Only 25 years after its foundation, the University of Málaga has become not only a great cultural incentive for the city, but also an important support for future technology and research. It is one of the sides of what has been called “the productive triangle” of the city, along with the airport and the Andalusia Technological Park

Our institution currently hosts around 40,000 students and 2,000 professionals dedicated to the research.
