SECRETARIAT OF UNIVERSITY SPORT

The Secretariat of University Sport has the adequate organic and functional structure to organise this Championship:

        - Physical activity and sports service.

        - Facilities.

        - Medical area.

        - Administrative area.

FACILITIES

The facilities, with the sports centre founded in April 1995, as the main building surrounded by the whole complex, have a total area of 90,221 yd2 (76,020 m2). Its framework is divided into two main floors, the swimming pool and, the sport court with its terraces, dressing rooms and other annexes.

The remaining sport areas are situated on four floors which separate the two main areas. These are squash courts, weights room, common room, expression room and gym.

There are also several complementary services such as offices, medical centre, restaurant and auxiliary rooms for a total constructed area of 21,528 yd2 (18,000 m2).

Outside, next to the building, is the football pitch with artificial lawn (Football-7 and Football-11) and the rugby field (made up of natural lawn) surrounded by the athletics court. There is also a sport court complex and a beach volleyball court, all of them with their own dressing rooms and offices.

To sum up, our equipment tries to satisfy the practice of diverse sports, for the university community, and for Malaga’s society in general.

OTHER GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Although it is the first time UMA hosts a championship of this category, it has much experience in the organisation of National and Regional Championships. It has hosted several National Championships, namely, the National University Golf Championships of 1998, 2005, 2007 and 2008.
