THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS FOR THE SECOND TIME IN ANTEQUERA ON THE OCCASION OF THE ORGANISATION OF THE 13TH WORLD UNIVERSITY GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

The Executive Committee for the World University Golf Championship held their second encounter in the Hotel Antequera Golf yesterday. Some of the components of every area were present there, as well as the Director of the Secretariat of Sports of the University of Málaga and President of the Committee, Pedro Montiel. This time, the Committee also counted on the presence of the Councillor of Sports from the Antequera City Hall, Manuel Jesús Chicón Porras.
The aim of the second meeting was the development of the areas composed by the Executive Committee members and the updating of all the elements which will enable the smooth running of the Championship. The Committee components exposed their proposals, as well as all the details needed for the progress of every area.
One of the main subjects discussed during the meeting was the creation of a volunteers´ platform composed by the students of the University of Málaga. Around 70 students are expected to participate in this platform. From the next month and until the period of the Championship, the volunteers will receive a formation in different fields, such as languages, protocol, medicine, and secretariat tasks. This formation will help them to cope with the area they will work for. The persons responsible for the different areas and the Office of Volunteering will collaborate in this formation, as well as the Hotel Antequera Golf, concerning the formation in the sports venue.
