OPENING CEREMONY
The opening ceremony will take place on Monday 7th June, in the Antequera Golf Club. The Opening Ceremony will be staged respecting the following protocol:
1. FISU President or his representative welcomes the highest authorities representing the host country and presents the FISU CISCA members.
2. Playing of the national anthem of the organising country and raising the flag of the host country
3. March pass of the participating countries. Each delegation is preceded by a panel with its name and accompanied with its flag. The delegations will march in the alphabetic order of the language of the country organising the Championship or in one of the FISU official language (to be approved by the CE), the host country marching in last. The flags of the participating delegations as well as the panels will be provided by the Organising Committee and will all be of the same size.
4. The President of the Organising Committee gives a welcome speech of maximum three (3) minutes.
5. The President of FISU or his representative gives a speech of maximum three (3) minutes and invites the highest authority of the host country present to declare the Championship open.
6. The highest authority of the host country present declares the championship open.
7. Arrival of the FISU flag.
8. Playing of the FISU anthem and raising of the FISU flag.
9. Oath of the athletes. One athlete chosen by the host country pronounces the following oath: "On behalf of all students, I promise that we shall take part in this Championship, respecting the rules which govern them, in the true spirit of friendship, fair-play and sportsmanship, for the honour of our country and for the progress of the International University Sports Movement."
10. Oath of the judges and referees. One judge or referee chosen by the host country pronounces the following oath: “In the name of all the judges and officials, I promise that we shall officiate in this Championship with complete impartiality, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, in the true spirit of sportsmanship”.
